Why White Truffles
Historically, white truffles (Tuber magnatum) have only grown in a few pockets around the world — prized for their rarity, commanding prices of up to £5,000 – £7,000 per kilogram.
However, shifting climate patterns and improved soil-science technology now make parts of the UK’s chalky, calcareous soils ideal for cultivation.
